The Reaper

The Reaper blade was a commission from a client, and one of the pieces I’m proudest of. The blade is 1084. The handle is made from Australian ebony, with the skull and scythe cast in silver and set with blue spinels in the eyes.

The sheath is made of veg-tanned leather inlaid with snakeskin and finished with sterling silver accents. The verse on the sheath reads “There is a reaper, whose name is Death” and comes from the poem The Reaper and the Flowers.

I also made two leather cuff bracelets that go with this blade, again from leather with snakeskin inlay and sterling silver accents, which can be seen in my jewellery portfolio here.
